Mother's Day, A Mission Reprieve

A MASSIVE blessing for me was the break between our actual flight to London and our MTC stay. We got to go home for three days and enjoy Mother's Day.

We arrived late Friday night which allowed me to go to my last day of writers group with Linda, Grace and George. Such a fun morning!

After that we headed over to my son Marcus and his family who are getting ready to move to Texas. We watched the last episode of the House of David with my granddaughters, enjoyed all the improvements they had made to the house in a short week, and headed out for pizza. It was a joyful day.

The next day Brian's family came over for dinner. William brought his new friend Sophie and George stayed in town for the event. Miles, my nephew who is going to BYUi also came with his friend Aliyah. Brian smoked a brisket that was to die for and we even celebrated Brian's coming birthday which would happen the day we arrived in London. We played Camel Up! and George was making ridiculous assumptions. Like roll-your-eyes scenarios which happened over and over. Amazing! With hugs and kisses for most of our last good byes, the day ended perfectly.

Ooh, and I almost forgot. I woke up on mother's day to a sweet vase of flowers and notes from my two daughters who live in Arkansas and Georgia. They had texted their messages and Greg printed them out.

It was a perfect day! The next day we finished packing and that was it. Time to fly to London feeling full of love and ready to go.
